Junior Kapa Haka Introductory Session - Rooms 1, 3 and 7

This term, the Junior Syndicate are able to experience some Kapa Haka. Each class will be having a session learning about Kapa Haka commands, etiquette, basic poi and learning new Waiata.

Well done to all the tamariki in Rooms 1, 3 and 7 for their fantastic effort in their sessions. They worked hard to listen to all the Te Reo commands. They practiced their poi really well and they sung beautifully.

Here are Rooms 1, 3 and 7 putting all their learning together for the first time....

Belfast School Fair 2016 - Jump Jam, Choir and Kapa Haka Perform

Today was the Belfast School Fair - the first of it's kind in a very long time! It was a huge success and the weather was absolutely outstanding! There were lots of different stalls to go to, heaps of delicious food and lots of fun games to play.

Whilst it was a great fundraiser for the school, it was also fantastic to see the community come together and have some fun. We owe a HUGE thank you to Carolyn Mason and the PTA committee for all the hard work they put in to help make it such a success.

Well done also to the Choir, Jump Jam teams and the Kapa Haka group for their performances as well. You continue to show case all the talent we have at Belfast School.

There was even a special performance by all the Staff - it certainly was quite the extravaganza!
